Week 2 we will be having a visit from the Ellenbrook Joey mob to our hall and then we will be having a return visit on Wednesday 1st Nov, Week 4. They are located at Malvern Springs Community Centre in the committee hall and meet from 5 - 6 pm. There will be no Friday Joeys that week. These visits plus the District picnic will earn the Joeys their Buddy Badge.

Week 3 we will be having a dress up night for Halloween so look for your spookiest outfit.

Week 5, 10th Nov, we will be going to the Basssendean War Memorial on the Friday night to mark Remembrance Day. We thought we would meet at the normal time at 5, have our memorial observance and then have a picnic afterwards (people to supply their own food/drink) and people could leave as desired. For those Joeys who have not yet received their badge for Their Service, Our Heritage, this will complete those requirements..

Week 6 is the Branch event - Joey Splash - on Saturday 18th Nov and we have 12 Joeys and 3 leaders booked and paid for, for that event.

Week 7 there is a District event - a picnic at Woodbridge Adventure Playground (same place as we went to previously) for a play and picnic with Joeys from Ellenbrook, Midland and possibly Beechboro Mobs. We are hoping to provide a sausage sizzle and popper drink for a small cost (details to be advised) for a picnic tea and are looking to be there from 5.30 pm to 7 pm with pick up anywhere from 6.30. We will still be having Friday Joeys that week.

Week 8 is Group Camp on the 2nd and 3rd Dec at the hall for all sections. Joeys can come on the Saturday and sleep over in the hall on Saturday night. There will be activities on Saturday and Sunday and the Awards Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. More details will be provided closer to the date.

Week 9 will then be our last Friday Joey meeting on the 8th Dec but I am hoping to arrange a visit to a local nursing home on the Saturday 9th Dec - details to be confirmed. This visit combined with the Food Appeal for Bayswater Council will contribute to the Care and Share Badge requirements.

The leaders will then be having a planning meeting on the last week of term, 15th Dec, so there will be no Joeys that night. I am still hoping for one more hike this term - possibly at Bells Rapids but I am struggling to fit it in. I am tentatively looking at Saturday 21st Oct in the late afternoon 3 – 5 pm to avoid the warmth of the day. As both Dingo and Croc will be on a training course that weekend, we will need some extra helpers for it to go ahead.

Sorry no event items at present.
